Nairobi (NBO) → Entebbe (Kampala) (EBB)

Nairobi and Kampala are two of East Africa's great business capitals, and the flight between them — into Entebbe International on the shore of Lake Victoria — is one of our most requested executive sectors. Privately, it is about an hour and a half wheels-up to wheels-down, and your departure time is whatever the diary requires.

The flight

The routing runs west from Nairobi across the Rift Valley and out over Lake Victoria — the world's second-largest freshwater lake filling the horizon on descent into Entebbe. Flight time is approximately an hour and a half depending on aircraft.

Airports and arrival

Departures can operate from Wilson Airport or Jomo Kenyatta International depending on the aircraft; arrival is at Entebbe International (EBB), where our handling agents manage customs and immigration for a swift transit. Kampala's central business district is around 40 kilometres away — allow an hour or so by road, or ask us about a helicopter transfer for the final leg when schedules are tight.

Good to know

• Day returns: morning out, evening back is entirely practical on this sector — a full working day in Kampala without a hotel night.
• Documents: this is an international sector; passports are required and visas depend on nationality. East African Community arrangements simplify travel for member-state citizens.
• Gorilla trekking: Entebbe is also the jumping-off point for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest; light-aircraft connections to the south-west link neatly with an international arrival.
