Entebbe International Airport

Entebbe International Airport (EBB / HUEN) occupies a peninsula on Lake Victoria's northern shore, about forty kilometres from Kampala. It is Uganda's principal airport and one of East Africa's busiest business-aviation destinations.

The Nairobi–Entebbe corridor

The private sector from Nairobi takes about an hour and a half, with Lake Victoria filling the view on descent. It is one of the region's classic executive routes: our handling agents manage customs and immigration for a fast transit, and a morning departure puts you in a Kampala boardroom before mid-day — with an evening return still entirely practical.

Getting to Kampala

The road to the capital takes around an hour depending on traffic. When schedules are tight, we arrange a helicopter transfer for the final leg — worth considering for compressed day-returns.

Beyond the capital

Entebbe is also the jumping-off point for Uganda's south-west: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for gorilla trekking, Queen Elizabeth and Kibale national parks, reached by light-aircraft connections that pair neatly with an international arrival. For the northern parks, Murchison Falls is a short sector by light aircraft.

Good to know

• Documents: passports required; Ugandan visas depend on nationality (many electronic), and East African Community arrangements apply for member-state citizens.
• Gorilla permits: trekking permits are date-specific — flights are best confirmed once permits are secured, and we plan around them.
• Cargo: the Nairobi–Entebbe corridor also carries significant freight; dedicated cargo charters are available for time-critical shipments.
